In the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan—a time of generosity, reflection, and togetherness—Kan Yama Kan returns as a national reading and book donation initiative that celebrates the power of storytelling. Kan Yama Kan encourages communities to give the gift of books while nurturing a love of reading among children. Through immersive storytelling sessions held in libraries and cultural spaces across the UAE, the initiative brings voices to life, using stories as a bridge between tradition, imagination, and values of kindness and sharing that define Ramadan. Children are invited to join us for meaningful evenings of stories that inspire young minds, strengthen community bonds, and remind us that every book shared is a story passed on.
