In celebration of Hans Christian Andersen's birthday, we proudly commemorate International Children’s Book Day (ICBD), a global tribute to the magic and power of storytelling. This year, the Netherlands BBY has been chosen by IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People) to lead the celebrations, with a special message from renowned author Rian Visser. Along with a vibrant and colorful poster, this event invites children from around the world to dive into exciting new adventures through the wonder of books.
As part of this global celebration, we are thrilled to announce that the UAE Board on Books for Young People (UAEBBY) has translated the ICBD 2025 poster and flyer into Arabic, making this special occasion even more inclusive and accessible for Arabic-speaking communities.
Additionally, we will be hosting engaging activities for children, designed to ignite their imaginations and foster a lifelong love for reading.
