The workshop offers a contemplative artistic experience that combines drawing and hand embroidery on thick Canson paper, inspired by symbols of Palestinian identity and the spirit of Mahmoud Darwish’s poetry.

Participants work on writing the word “Baqoon” (We Remain) in Kufic calligraphy, then embroider it using needle and thread in a simple artistic style. This is followed by drawing an olive branch beneath the word, embodying the symbolic phrase: “We remain… as long as the olive tree remains.”

The workshop aims to connect visual art with poetry, transforming a short word into a visual artwork through an experience that brings together the calm of handcraft and the depth of poetry.
