Welcome to the International Award for Arabic Children's Literature

The International Award for Arabic Children's Literature

The International Award for Arabic Children's Literature (formerly known as the Etisalat Award for Arabic Children's Literature) is one of the most important children's literature prizes in the Arab world and one of the richest in the world. It was launched in 2009 on the initiative of Her Highness Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al-Qasimi, Founder and Patron of the UAE Board on Books for Young People and CEO of Kalimat publishing house.

The restructuring of the Award will serve to attract an even larger segment of the publishing industry and thereby encourage more publishers, authors and illustrators to play a role in developing the Arabic children's book sector.
