Launched in 2012, "Books Made in UAE" is a project that aims to foster the creation of children's and young adult books crafted by Emirati writers and illustrators. These books are designed to authentically mirror the cultural values and interests of the youth in the UAE.
The project is dedicated to equipping young Emirati writers and illustrators with the necessary skills and expertise. It operates under the guidance of a team of esteemed international illustrators, writers, and experts. The project's previous themes have encompassed a wide range, including children's picture books, young adult literature, comics, Emirati folktales, silent books, and works centered on children's rights and safety.
