Books Made in the UAE

Launched in 2012, "Books Made in UAE" isa project that aims to foster the creation of children's and young adult books crafted by Emirati writers and illustrators. These books are designed to authentically mirror the cultural values and interests of the youth in the UAE.

In 2013, UAEBBY introduced the 'Read. Dream. Create' campaign, aimed at fostering a stronger connection between children and books. The campaign is not only dedicated to enhancing children's and young adults' interpretation skills but also equipping them with the necessary tools to transform their ideas into captivating stories. The IBBY Collection for Young People with Disabilities

All young people need books they can read and enjoy. This includes those with disabilities. IBBY increases opportunities for people of all abilities to read independently by highlighting accessible books in a variety of formats, such as Braille, Picture Communication Symbols, sign language, Easy-to-Read language, tactile or textured illustrations, dyslexia-friendly fonts, and other design features.

IBBY Honour List
